About the role
The Legal Compliance Analyst is a vital role within the Security, Audit, Risk and Compliance (SARC) Team and focuses on legal and compliance activities across Amiqus. This role is key to how we operate as a business and oversees vital areas of output such as contract reviews, terms and conditions, notices, client compliance, data protection and other legal and compliance considerations as detailed below. This role works closely with the other members of the SARC team and across commercial and client facing teams.
Key responsibilities
Contracts and Client Facing Activity
Act as the main POC for all contract and legal reviews; events, clients, third party or any other contracts or legal work as required
Work with our internal Sales team to drive and own legal activity
Review and update client contracts as appropriate
Conduct due diligence assessments for clients, software requests, third parties and act as a first point of escalation for due diligence compliance queries
Own the G-Cloud contract space and update where required
Join client facing calls and able to run legal discussions with significant client legal teams
Legal Compliance Activity
Review and update client compliance queries as appropriate, working with the client facing teams
Update our legal documentation where required such as DPIA, Record Of Processing Activities (ROPA) and our privacy and business terms
Complete legal compliance reviews of Business Cases put forward by Amiqus staff, including software requests and events
Act as legal internal SME on working groups and projects such as managed services, product updates etc
Data Protection
Support day to day organisational compliance activities to ensure alignment with policies, standards, industry regulations and legislative changes
Organise and support the DPO with the annual audit of our GDPR compliance and the outcomes of the audit
Attend bi-weekly calls with our DPO and management of the DPO agenda items
Support Data Protection activity across the organisation, ensuring key documentations such as DPIA, ROPA and any policies or procedures are updated and reflect regulations and best standards
Oversee data processing considerations and support on any activity where Amiqus acts as the Data Processor or Controller
General Activity
Support audit activity relating to our certifications where required
Complete blogs and content for internal and external awareness on our legal and compliance activity within SARC to grow awareness both internally and externally
Create, maintain and audit compliance standard operating procedures (SOPs) against Data Protection and other relevant regulations
Training
Conduct and organise basic GDPR training & refreshers with all employees across the business and work with others to be able to run this training and with DPO
Upskill others where required to conduct or support contractual reviews
Work with client facing teams on client compliance specific training
