About the role
Engineering Manager
Key responsibilities
  • You will support a growing team of engineers, helping them to realise their full potential and deliver work that directly contributes towards the product strategy

  • You will work with your team on both their personal and professional development, providing feedback, delivering appraisals and celebrating their achievements

  • Working closely with the engineering leads, you’ll help define technical initiatives and best practices and ensure work is achieved with a high level of care and attention to detail

  • You will gather requirements, plan and scope engineering resources for the engineers in your team

About you
  • Experience managing and developing teams remotely

  • Several years of previous experience managing an engineering team, working cross functionally with other PM's / EM's and a background in software development working with an engineering manager

  • You have worked as part of a team building a single product or platform (SaaS, native etc.)

  • You are comfortable in delivering line manager responsibilities with individuals (1:1s, appraisals, assessments etc.)

  • You strive to help others achieve their goals and care deeply about their career progression

Interview process

  • Internal review of applications

  • An initial chat about the role with our People and engagement manager

  • A more structured interview with the team manager and one other team member

  • An informal chat with some other team members about the opportunity

  • Onboarding welcome and process kick off with support across the team
